Job summary

Steampunk in McLean, VA, is seeking an Automated Test Engineer to advance our DevSecOps QA practice in an AI-enabled software environment. You will design and implement test automation for Salesforce, API, and UI layers, while supporting manual testing and cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes building an automation framework, using Selenium, Cucumber JVM, TestNG, JMeter, and RestAssured within a Salesforce context; you will work in an Agile setting, contribute to CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

• Experience with QA and test automation in Agile/DevSecOps
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance
• Tests across data systems and applications including Salesforce
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder needs and convey requirements to developers
• Write test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, and QA reports
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce using Selenium and Cucumber
• Design, develop, and maintain automation framework across Salesforce apps
• Perform API testing with RestAssured and TestNG
• Support manual testing and exploratory testing as needed
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Harness and GitLab
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge
