Captivation Software in Maryland is seeking an Automated Test Engineer to strengthen our quality and release processes. You will design and maintain robust automated test suites for UI and API layers using Cypress, and work closely with an Agile team to validate features and ensure reliability.

The role emphasizes integration with CI/CD pipelines, comprehensive defect reporting, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet mission-driven quality goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests using Cypress.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test script development.
• Experience testing modern web applications, RESTful microservices, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts using Cypress.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, document defects and metrics.
• Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid feedback.
• Collaborate with Agile team during ceremonies to ensure test coverage for new features and fixes.
