Job summary

Foamcraft seeks a CNC Operator for our Elkhart, IN site. You will input commands and monitor CNC saws to produce foam parts, ensuring accuracy and quantity. Training is provided as this is considered light manufacturing.

You will cut foam to pattern, mark and organize materials, and move items safely. Prior CNC experience is helpful but not required; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret dimensions and perform basic math with a focus on safety.
• Willingness to learn CNC processes; prior CNC experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow company policies.

Responsibilities

• Input commands and monitor CNC saw processes to manufacture foam.
• Cut foam accurately and in correct quantities.
• Draw patterns, mark foam as directed, and organize materials.
• Lift/move materials with proper technique and uphold safety rules.

About the Role

Our CNC Operators are responsible for inputting commands and monitoring the process needed for computer-controlled saws to manufacture the foam. We utilize multiple saw types, including CNC saws. This is considered “light” manufacturing and we will provide training.

What You’ll Do

• Cutting foam with accuracy and in the correct quantity.
• Drawing patterns and marking foam as directed.
• Organizing cut materials in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Lifting and moving materials with proper techniques.
• Observing all safety rules and regulations.

What You Bring

• A positive attitude towards their coworkers and job.
• Ability to interpret dimensions and perform quick, basic math tasks while focusing on safety
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and regulations
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Prior CNC experience preferred but not required
