Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an Automated QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing for web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems. You will contribute to reliable software delivery by implementing scalable test strategies and collaborating with engineers, product managers, business analysts, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities include building automation frameworks, API testing, CI/CD integration, and ensuring test coverage throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software quality assurance or development experience.
• 2+ years building automated test solutions with modern frameworks.
• Experience testing web, API, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites.
• Create automated functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, analysts, and DevOps to define test strategies.
• Participate in reviews and sprint planning to ensure testability early.
• Develop reusable automation libraries and utilities following best practices.
• Create and execute API tests using REST, GraphQL, and other service architectures.
• Analyze results, triage defects, and support fixes with dev teams.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Manage test data and environment setup and maintenance.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive continuous improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis of production defects.
• Maintain testing documentation and test plans.
• Participate in code reviews for application and test automation code.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and promote quality engineering practices.
