Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Production Worker to operate and support highly automated packaging and filling lines in a food/chemical environment. You will work across multiple shifts, ensure correct packaging and labeling, and keep production flowing on the lines.

Strong computer use, EPJS/RF scanner familiarity, and adherence to safety are essential. The role emphasizes equipment setup, line changeovers, and quality checks, with opportunities for growth into senior operator roles.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years packaging line experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years manufacturing/production experience.
• 2+ years operating production and packaging machinery.
• Experience with filling, labeling and sealing processes.
• Staging of materials to support continuous line operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Hands-on product inspections and basic quality checks.
• Experience in food or chemical production environments preferred.
• Proficient computer use for verifying/printing orders and data entry.
• Experience using EPJS and RF scanners for picking, materials handling, and inventory tracking.
• Reliable in general production tasks and material handling.
• Willing to wear steel-toed boots and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging lines and machinery to ensure consistent product flow.
• Package lids, bowls, bottles, and finished goods per procedures and quality standards.
• Inspect products and packaging for defects and quality; take corrective action when needed.
• Check labels for correctness and legibility per specifications.
• Maintain smooth line operation by clearing minor issues and organizing materials.
• Unjam lines and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with line changeovers including staging materials and adjusting equipment.
• Monitor line performance, safety, and quality; report concerns promptly.
• Lift and palletize loads; wrap pallets for safe transport and storage.
• Use computers to verify and print orders and manage basic production docs.
• Operate with EPJS and RF scanners to track materials and inventory.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures on a temperature-controlled floor.
• Collaborate with team members and leads to meet production goals across shifts.
