Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Material Handling Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, and repair automated packing and distribution equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and ensure safety features function correctly at the York, PA site.

You will follow established procedures, support Kaizen activities, and help keep inventory movement efficient. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Must meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting 50 lbs+.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Basic math skills such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with technical and safety training.
• Participate in and support Kaizen efficiency improvements for the site and network.
• Adhere to department plans and budgets.
• Keep all material handling equipment in good condition via regular maintenance.
• Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems.
• Check the functionality of safety systems.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems under close supervision.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures and processes.
