Job summary

Armstrong World Industries in Hilliard, Ohio operates a highly automated ceiling tile production line under the Value Stream Manager. The role requires safety focus, teamwork and willingness to work overtime on 1st/2nd/3rd shifts to ensure continuous operation and quality output.

You will start up and operate production equipment, perform basic maintenance checks, inspect products for quality, follow schedules, enter data, and keep work areas clean and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial/warehouse experience preferred.
• Lean/process improvement experience preferred.
• Proficiency in core production roles within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift license.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work without direct supervision in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Safely start up, operate and shutdown production equipment; perform lockout/tag-out for line jams.
• Conduct basic maintenance checks on production equipment.
• Perform quality inspections to meet standards and minimize rework.
• Follow daily production schedules and enter data in computer systems.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas.
• Handle materials safely from raw to finished goods.
• Rotate through core positions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead/management.
