Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an Automated Equipment Technician to keep our automated systems firing on all cylinders—fast, safe, and precise.

You’ll troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, calibrate sensors and actuators, and document work to keep downtime low and quality high. On the floor, you’ll move between equipment areas, coordinate with teammates as priorities shift, and provide clear status updates so the next shift can pick up

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining automated or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Comfort with diagnostics (meters, basic controls/PLC exposure a plus).
• Strong safety mindset, clear communication, and dependable follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Your day starts with a quick check of overnight notes and a scan of the line’s pulse—what’s running strong, what’s trending off, and what needs attention before it becomes a bigger slowdown.
• You’ll move between equipment areas, coordinating with teammates as priorities shift, keeping communication crisp and decisions practical.
• Expect a mix of focused bench time, quick huddles, and on-the-spot problem solving as production ramps, pauses, and surges.
• You’ll wrap up by updating logs and handing off clear status updates so the next shift can pick up at speed—no guesswork, no drama, just momentum.

Your Mission

As an Automated Equipment Technician, you’ll keep our automated systems firing on all cylinders so production stays fast, safe, and precise. You’ll troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, calibrate sensors and actuators, and document work to keep downtime low and quality high.

You’ll also help improve reliability by spotting patterns, recommending fixes, and partnering with operators and engineers during installs and changeovers.
