Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions is seeking a maintenance technician to support daily production and equipment reliability in our Downers Grove facility. You will perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include safety, energy isolation planning, and basic automation support, with a focus on keeping plant equipment operating within specifications and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial or production environment.
• Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety and environmental practices.
• Develop and execute energy isolation plans for maintenance activities.
• Operate and monitor plant and process equipment and associated systems.
• Maximize production by maintaining equipment runtime and ensuring equipment operates within product specifications.
• Complete daily equipment read-ups and follow up on parameters outside of normal operating ranges.
• Troubleshoot operational, mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Identify required maintenance on plant equipment and related systems and complete work orders.
• Prepare plant equipment and piping systems for maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to address equipment issues and support production.
• Develop and update work instructions, SOPs and process sheets as needed.
• Build and assemble modules or equipment needed to support production when issues arise.
• Support robotics and automation equipment as needed.
• Share knowledge with co-workers and contribute to team goals and objectives.
• Maintain required training and emergency preparedness skills to assist with plant emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized production environment.
