Job summary

Axle is a bioscience and IT company supporting NIH programs in Bethesda, MD. We seek an Automation Cell Culture Biologist to advance ADRD research using automated cell culture, iPSC lines, and high-throughput platforms. You will collaborate with scientists, manage experiments, and contribute to publications.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree and 2+ years related experience.
• Experience with automated cell culture and iPSC lines.
• Proven ability to design and run high-throughput cell culture experiments.
• Knowledge of GLP and laboratory safety.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage biological research programs.
• Study basic principles of plant and animal life and their functions.
• Develop and maintain effective working relations with groups and agencies.
• Work with staff to characterize genetic pathways for ADRD using human cell-based models.
• Perform large-scale iPSC culture experiments on liquid handling platforms.
• Operate and optimize liquid handling platforms (Hamilton, TECAN).
• Train staff on laboratory instrumentation and procedures.
• Analyze data, present results, and maintain labs notebooks and databases.
