Job summary

Exelon is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to independently perform engineering tasks related to planning, design, construction, and maintenance of utility infrastructure. You will analyze power systems, support cost estimation and planning, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and external partners.

The role requires a BS in Engineering and 2–4 years of professional experience, with opportunities to work on high voltage transmission and grid improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 2–4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, and practices for the discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance of an experienced engineer (70%).
• Handles engineering tasks on large or multiple small projects (10%).
• Directs engineering tasks on large projects, verifying studies, blueprints or designs against accepted principles (10%).
• Evaluates effectiveness of technical systems and participates on teams (10%).
