Job summary

APPLIED COMPOSITES INC is seeking an Autoclave Lead for the 2nd shift in Brea, CA. This hands-on role coordinates autoclave operations, guides technicians, and ensures adherence to aerospace manufacturing processes and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has advanced autoclave experience, strong coaching skills, and the ability to manage priorities with the Production Supervisor. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of autoclave or aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with standard aerospace manufacturing shop practices.
• Experience operating autoclave computers and production equipment.
• Ability to read travelers, build manuals, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities across autoclave, heat treatment, and detooling operations according to the Production Supervisor priorities.
• Communicate work assignments and production priorities to technicians as directed, adjusting workflow to meet needs.
• Monitor production progress, workflow, and resource utilization; identify delays and constraints.
• Coordinate the movement of tools, materials, and parts through assigned operations.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to Autoclave Technicians.
• Identify training needs and communicate recommendations to the Production Supervisor.
• Monitor completion of production reporting, labor time entries, and job-cost information.
• Identify and help resolve production errors, equipment concerns, and process deviations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to address issues and support production.
• Communicate performance, attendance, safety concerns, and policy issues to the Supervisor.
• Promote compliance with manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safe work practices.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and workflow.
