Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a 1st Shift Autoclave Utility Operator in Mentor, OH. The role supports etch and autoclave processes, follows SOP/EP controls, audits, and maintains accurate records while ensuring safety and productivity.

The incumbent will adjust tank levels, retest solutions, train new operators, and collaborate with maintenance and IT to resolve issues, with emphasis on reliability and precision in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment; autoclave experience is a plus.
• Flexible hours with a strong attendance record.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform all etch, autoclave, and laboratory operations with focus on quality, productivity and safety.
• Support SOP and EP compliance for etch and autoclave solution controls; conduct audits.
• Adjust tank levels and concentration; retest solutions as needed.
• Review prior shift testing records; maintain records and verify entries.
• Coordinate with production; perform tank clean outs as required.
• Handle caustic pickups and deliveries; monitor wastewater levels with maintenance.
• Maintain etch tank inventories of raw materials.
• Assist in training new operators and suggest course corrections.
• Improve safety, cleanliness and organization of the etch area; work with vendors when needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance and IT to resolve issues; assist in etch operations as directed.
• Attend meetings and perform miscellaneous duties as required.
