Job summary

Acuren Inspection, Inc. is seeking a full-time AutoCAD Operator in Decatur, IL. The role focuses on developing detailed 2D/3D AutoCAD drawings for piping and vessels, converting field sketches, and entering technical data into the mechanical integrity data system.

The ideal candidate will have a 2-year drafting-related degree and hands-on CAD experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant3D, and CadWorx. Local applicants only, with a pay range of $21.63–$34.13/hr and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in industrial drafting.
• Experience with CAD operation related to pressure vessels and piping.
• Knowledge of API codes and related NDT principles.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Able to pass drug/alcohol and background per client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review specs, sketches, and drawings to assess factors affecting piping and vessels.
• Use 3D laser scan data to generate 3D models, 2D isometrics, validate P&ID/PFD.
• Consult with customers to review schematics and questions about results.
• Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings from sketches and notes.
• Check drawings for accuracy and coordination with team.
