Job summary

Acuren is seeking a full-time AutoCAD Operator in Decatur, IL to develop detailed AutoCAD drawings and specifications for piping and vessels. The role includes converting field sketches into CAD, creating 3D models, and entering technical data into the integrity data management system.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year drafting or CAD degree, proficiency with AutoCAD/Plant3D/CadWorx, and knowledge of API/NDT concepts, with a focus on accuracy and client requirements. Local applicants only.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year degree in Mechanical Drafting, CAD or related.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in industrial drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant3D, CadWorx and related CAD tools.
• Knowledge of API codes and NDT principles.
• Able to pass drug/alcohol and background checks per client.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review specs and drawings to assess piping and vessel design.
• Generate 3D models and 2D isometrics; perform P&A validation.
• Convert field sketches to AutoCAD drawings.
• Enter data into the mechanical integrity data system.
• Coordinate with customers and project team on drawings.
• Assist at client facilities gathering information and measurements.
• Maintain accuracy and coordination across documents.
