Our client in the environmental consulting industry is looking for an Environmental CAD Designer to join their team near Bel Air, MD. You will use AutoCAD to create and revise plans for stormwater, erosion control, grading, stream, landfill, and public infrastructure projects. Candidates may come from a CAD drafting or design background, and an engineering degree is not required. You must have AutoCAD experience in environmental or water-resources consulting, hands-on experience performing or supporting stormwater or water-resources design calculations and drafting experience with at least one of the following: grading, erosion control, cut/fill, profiles, or cross-sections. While the position initially emphasizes CAD production, you will also assist with design work as your knowledge of the company’s projects and processes develops. This role combines office-based CAD work with field visits to document site conditions and collect project data, so a willingness and ability to perform field work based on active contract needs is required. This is a great opportunity to broaden your experience across environmental design, permitting, surveying, and construction inspection with a collaborative team.
