Job summary

Our client near Bel Air, MD is seeking an Environmental CAD Designer to create and revise AutoCAD plans for stormwater, erosion control, grading, and public infrastructure projects. Office CAD work combined with field visits is required.

Applicants should have AutoCAD experience in environmental or water resources consulting; no engineering degree required. Willingness to perform field work and travel to project sites as needed is essential.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience in environmental or water resources required.
• Experience grading, erosion control, cut/fill, profiles, or cross-sections in AutoCAD required.
• Performing or supporting stormwater or water-resources design calculation experience required.
• Willingness and ability to perform field work based on active contract needs required.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise AutoCAD plan sets for environmental, water resources, and site/civil projects
• Draft grading, erosion control, cut/fill, profile, and cross-section details based on project needs
• Support stormwater, stream, landfill, and public infrastructure plans and documentation
• Support hydrologic, hydraulic, and open channel flow analyses
• Prepare and update drawings, details, sequencing plans, and permit packages
• Visit project sites to document conditions and collect field data
• Walk uneven terrain, streams, and wooded areas during site visits
• Review your own work for accuracy and ask questions when guidance is needed
