Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Document Control Support specialist to assist the Document Control Team on complex construction projects. You will draw, design, read, and explain plans using AutoCAD and update associated electrical records and CAD drawings from field data.

The role involves maintaining site drawings for electrical, mechanical, and piping systems, managing the document repository, and coordinating with engineers to reflect field changes and close-out files in as-built documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, design, or equivalent.
• 2+ years as an AutoCAD designer or drafter, able to work independently; construction background preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Bluebeam and MS Office (Excel) required.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Draw, design, read, and explain construction plans using AutoCAD.
• Update alleys: update electrical panel schedules in Excel and revise EasyPower models.
• Review engineering changes and reflect updates in panel schedules and diagrams.
• Maintain site plans and drawings for electrical, mechanical, and piping systems.
• Manage a centralized document management system, both electronic and physical files.
• Incorporate project close-out files into as-built documents and update CAD drawings from teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to confirm and update plans; verify via field measurements.
• Perform field audits and walkthroughs to ensure drawing accuracy.
