Ed Morse Automotive Group in Muscatine, IA is seeking a Title Clerk to join our team. With 80+ years of experience, we process vehicle registrations and title documents in line with state requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with title work experience and knowledge of DMV rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDK experience preferred.
• Title work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with DMV rules and requirements.
• Knowledge of loan origination functions mandatory.
• Knowledge of State Tax Codes.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers as well as employees.
• Must successfully complete a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the DMV or from the receiving dealership.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Processes payments made to titling agencies.
• Processes duplicate title requests in Missouri and additional states as necessary.
• Make lien payoffs.
• Post deals and F&I products sold.
• Process end of month payments.
• Process vehicle state reports.
• Record and maintain new and used inventory in the Dealer Management System.
• Other tasks as assigned.
