Job summary

May Mobility in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operator to monitor vehicles and assist passengers during shifts. This part-time, on-site role pays $23/hour and requires weekend availability, with a $500 sign-on bonus.

You'll take control when needed, watch for unusual vehicle behavior, and report issues using digital tools. Training includes online and in-person sessions before starting regular shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required with a clean driving record.
• 3+ years of driving experience; autonomous vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to report issues clearly.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and assist passengers.

Job Details

• Part-time: 12–30 hours/week
• Location: Grand Rapids, MN — On-site
• Must work at least 1 weekend shift

What You'll Do

• Monitor autonomous vehicles and help keep passengers safe.
• Take control of the vehicle when needed.
• Watch for unusual vehicle behavior and report issues.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Answer passenger questions and provide good customer service.
• Complete daily reports using digital tools.
• Work independently and stay alert during shifts.

Training

• 4–5 hours of online training.
• 5 days of in-person training, Monday–Friday.
• Training must be completed before starting regular shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years of driving experience and clean driving record.
• Autonomous vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and reporting tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to assist passengers using wheelchairs.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and willing to learn.

Available Shifts

• Tuesday–Friday: 1:30 PM–6:30 PM or 5:30 PM–10:30 PM
• Saturday: 11:30 AM–5:30 PM or 4:30 PM–10:30 PM
• Sunday: 7:30 AM–2:30 PM
