Vehicle Operations Specialist – Autonomous Vehicle Testing & Data Collection

Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per Hour (decided after Driving Interview)
Schedule: Full‑Time

What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate company vehicles during testing and data collection activities
  • Drive up to 6 hours per shift in urban and highway environments
  • Monitor vehicle software systems while maintaining safe driving practices
  • Execute structured test scenarios including construction zones, roundabouts, heavy pedestrian traffic, and complex roadway conditions
  • Collect operational data and document vehicle performance
  • Identify, document, and report unusual vehicle behaviors and edge‑case scenarios
  • Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure cameras, LiDAR, radar systems, and sensors remain clean and operational
  • Assist with troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and Operations Teams
  • Create clear written reports and provide verbal feedback regarding system performance
What We’re Looking For
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License held continuously for at least 5 years
  • Excellent driving record with no major violations
  • Strong defensive driving skills and situational awareness
  • Ability to remain focused and attentive for extended periods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with technology and software systems
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Detail‑oriented, dependable, and highly reliable
  • Ability to follow structured testing procedures and operational guidelines
Preferred Experience
  • Autonomous vehicle operations
  • Vehicle testing or data collection
  • Rideshare, delivery, transportation, fleet operations, or commercial driving
  • Technical support, quality assurance, field operations, or engineering support
  • Experience using Google Workspace, Notion, or other software tools
  • Experience documenting processes, incidents, or testing activities
  • Passionate about autonomous vehicles, robotics, and emerging technology
  • Comfortable learning new software and testing processes
  • Adaptable in rapidly changing environments
  • Strong communicators who can work closely with engineering teams
  • Interested in growing with a fast‑moving technology company

Available Shifts

AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday

PM Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday – Friday

Training Schedule

Week 1: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
