Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE is hiring a Self-Driving Vehicle Operator in Eden Prairie, MN. The role requires a valid driver’s license, 2+ years of driving with a clean record, and comfort with autonomous vehicles. You will work evenings and weekends, maintain daily summaries, and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.

We offer a $20.00 per hour starting wage and a $500.00 sign-on bonus. Safety protocols and customer-facing responsibilities are a focus for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable with driving Autonomous Vehicles and new tech.
• Strong organization and ability to document daily summaries.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with riders and operations.
• Suggest improvements to vehicle feel, comfort, and experience.
• Check daily safety condition of vehicles.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles as needed.
• Operate according to traffic safety procedures and safe driving practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are looking to hire experienced and safe drivers to be a part of our Self-Driving Vehicle Operators team in Eden Prairie, MN to help ensure all customers have a safe, clean, professional, and enjoyable experience.

The ideal candidate is a safe and experienced driver, highly organized and attentive to detail, and customer-oriented with a passion for new technologies.
We value safety first and foremost, including implementation of and adherence to COVID-19 protocols to maintain a healthy environment for all employees, clients, and customers.

This role offers the following shifts:

• Tuesday 1:30PM-6:30PM OR 5:30PM-10:30PM
• Wednesday 1:30PM-6:30PM OR 5:30PM-10:30PM
• Thursday 1:30PM-6:30PM OR 5:30PM-10:30PM
• Friday 1:30PM-6:30PM OR 5:30PM-10:30PM
• Saturday 11:30PM-5:30PM OR 4:30PM-10:30PM
• Sunday 7:30AM-2:30PM (subject to change)

As a Self-Driving Vehicle Operator, you will:

• Interact on a daily basis with riders and company operations.
• Make suggestions on how to improve vehicle feel, comfort, and overall experience.
• Check the safety condition of vehicles daily.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles at regular intervals or as needed.
• Operate according to traffic safety procedures and safe driving practices.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record
• Comfortable with driving Autonomous Vehicles
• Methodical and process-oriented
• Organized and able to document daily summaries
• Able to maintain composure under pressure
• A technical background working with electronics, mechanical components, or computers a plus
