Job summary

May Mobility in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operator to support passenger safety and smooth operations. This on-site, part-time role pays $23 per hour with a $500 sign-on bonus and requires 12–30 hours weekly.

You will monitor vehicles, take control when needed, assist passengers, complete daily digital reports, and follow safety procedures. Training includes 4–5 hours online and 5 days in-person before starting shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of driving experience with a clean record.
• Autonomous vehicle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor autonomous vehicles and ensure passenger safety.
• Take control of the vehicle when needed.
• Report unusual vehicle behavior and safety issues.

Job Details

• Part-time: 12–30 hours/week
• Location: Grand Rapids, MN — On-site
• Must work at least 1 weekend shift

What You'll Do

• Monitor autonomous vehicles and help keep passengers safe.
• Take control of the vehicle when needed.
• Watch for unusual vehicle behavior and report issues.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Answer passenger questions and provide good customer service.
• Complete daily reports using digital tools.
• Work independently and stay alert during shifts.

Training

• 4–5 hours of online training.
• 5 days of in-person training, Monday–Friday.
• Training must be completed before starting regular shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years of driving experience and clean driving record.
• Autonomous vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and reporting tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to assist passengers using wheelchairs.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable and willing to learn.

Available Shifts

• Tuesday–Friday: 1:30 PM–6:30 PM or 5:30 PM–10:30 PM
• Saturday: 11:30 AM–5:30 PM or 4:30 PM–10:30 PM
• Sunday: 7:30 AM–2:30 PM
