Job summary

May Mobility is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operator in Grand Rapids, MI. This part-time role (12–30 hours/week) requires you to monitor autonomous shuttles, take control if needed, and ensure passenger safety. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered; training precedes regular shifts and weekend availability is required.

The position is on-site with typical Tuesday–Friday and weekend shifts. Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid license, and 3+ years of driving experience with a clean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• 3+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
• Autonomous vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and reporting tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and assist passengers in wheelchairs.
• Good communication skills and reliability.

Job Details

• Part-time: 12-30 hours/week
• Location: Grand Rapids, MN - On-site
• Must work at least 1 weekend shift

What You’ll Do

• Monitor autonomous vehicles and help keep passengers safe.
• Take control of the vehicle when needed.
• Watch for unusual vehicle behavior and report issues.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Answer passenger questions and provide good customer service.
• Complete daily reports using digital tools.
• Work independently and stay alert during shifts.

Training

• 4-5 hours of online training.
• 5 days of in-person training, Monday-Friday.
• Training must be completed before starting regular shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3+ years of driving experience and clean driving record.
• Autonomous vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and reporting tools.

Available Shifts

• Tuesday-Friday: 1:30 PM-6:30 PM or 5:30 PM-10:30 PM
• Saturday: 11:30 AM-5:30 PM or 4:30 PM-10:30 PM
• Sunday: 7:30 AM-2:30 PM
