• On-site full-time work, with ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Relevant certifications (ASE or EV-specific) and prior EV service center experience are advantageous.

Role Description

The Technician – Tesla role at EV Coastal is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on Tesla vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage systems. The technician will inspect vehicles, identify issues, document findings, and complete work orders in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Daily responsibilities include using diagnostic tools and service manuals, communicating clearly with service advisors, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The technician will also assist with parts ordering and inventory, follow all safety protocols, and contribute to continuous process improvement within the shop.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and electrical systems, ideally with EV or Tesla-specific exposure.
• Ability to safely work with high-voltage systems, using appropriate tools, PPE, and safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail for inspecting vehicles, documenting findings, and completing repair orders accurately

• Capability to work on-site full time, including standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
