Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an Automotive Technician to maintain Budget Truck's fleet of box trucks and cargo vans. You'll perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, and light repairs, with opportunities to assist more experienced technicians and progress toward ASE certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license (Class A, B, or C).
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/bend frequently.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on fleet of box trucks and cargo vans (oil and fluid services, tire repairs/rotations).
• Assist more experienced technicians with repairs and diagnostics as skills develop.
• May be required to drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational needs.
