Job summary

Grease-Monkey in Richardson, TX seeks a Technician B with solid mechanical knowledge to perform brakes, rotors, oil changes, transmissions, cooling system maintenance and related services. You will communicate with customers, explain preventive maintenance, and document work performed.

You should have 3+ years of related experience, ability to read manuals, operate safely, and work with a toolbox on site. State emissions certification if applicable; ASE certifications are a bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related automotive repair experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Valid Driver's License; State Emission Certification if applicable in your state.
• ASE certifications are a huge plus in this role.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform brakes, rotors, oil changes, transmission, differential, cooling system maintenance and related services.
• Repair and replace tires and other services (e.g., wiper blades, air filters) as needed.
• Explain preventive maintenance to customers and educate them on needed services.
• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspections.
• Document all work performed and tests; perform road tests when needed.
