Job summary

Grease Monkey International is seeking an Automotive Technician B for our Plano, TX location. The role includes brakes, rotors, oil changes, tires, cooling systems, and other services, with a focus on explaining preventive maintenance to customers.

You will communicate progress and may perform courtesy services as needed. The position is full-time with hourly pay plus commissions, requiring 3+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine tickets, notes and other correspondence.
• Ability to present information clearly to customers.
• Valid driver’s license; emissions certs and ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Handles more complex repairs and diagnostics, including electrical systems.
• Assists senior techs and may train junior technicians.
• Repairs: brakes, A/C, transmissions, power steering, suspension, and more.
• Documents work performed and road-tests vehicles as needed.
• Keeps the workspace clean and maintains tools and safety standards.
