Job summary

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet is seeking an Apprentice Technician to support the Service Department on-site in Wilmington, NC. In a learning capacity you will assist with vehicle service, repairs, and maintenance while developing skills and certifications.

You will document services and follow dealership guidelines to progress toward becoming a Service Technician. The role emphasizes basic automotive knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and strong safety and customer-service standards in a busy dealership

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Technician with examining customer vehicles.
• Assist Service Technician with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with estimating cost of repairs.
• Assist with performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Documents services performed.
