Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate at our West Point facility to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and quality standards.

You will work on engines, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC, gain hands-on experience with domestic and foreign vehicles, and collaborate with a skilled team in a modern, climate-controlled shop. ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems as required by role
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
• Multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Maintain ASE certifications where required by state/local law
