Job summary

CarMax West Point is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to high safety and quality standards. You’ll work on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC, with opportunities for growth through ongoing training and advanced tools.

Join a collaborative team in a climate-controlled facility. Prior auto shop experience and ASE certifications help, along with a valid driver’s license and strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Strong multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
