Job summary

Columbus Motor Company is seeking an Auto Technician to join our high-volume shop. We offer a fast-paced, productive environment with a small team structure that supports flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and plentiful work.

OEM certifications are encouraged. Responsibilities include performing repairs per repair orders, test-driving and diagnosing systems, and communicating with the Service Advisor about additional work and time estimates.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive background.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with peers.
• Willing to submit to a background check as part of employment.
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on the repair order efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and provide time estimates.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
