Job summary

Belle Tire is launching an entry-level Automotive Technician Trainee in its Auto Tech Development Program in Michigan. The program pairs you with a certified mentor, offers hands-on training across key systems, and defines milestones to progress into a fully qualified technician within six months.

Ideal candidates are students or recent grads from automotive technology programs, with a valid driver's license and access to required tools.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain required tools within designated timeframe (program support available).

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn and apply repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate effectively with team and explain repairs when needed.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and maintain shop safety.
