Job summary

Belle Tire invites aspiring automotive technicians to join the Auto Tech Development Program in Michigan. This structured, six-month program provides hands-on training across key automotive systems and one-on-one mentorship with a certified technician to build practical skills.

Participants will complete training milestones, work toward ASE certifications, and have opportunities for promotion into a full technician role at Belle Tire upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of brakes and steering/suspension coursework preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems and communicate with team.
