Job summary

Belle Tire invites current students or recent graduates from ASE-accredited automotive technology programs to join a 6-month Auto Tech Development Program. You will work under a certified Automotive Technician, gaining hands-on experience across key systems, progressing toward ASE certifications and a full technician role.

Enrollments include structured milestones, mentorship, and opportunities to advance within Belle Tire’s store network, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain required tools within designated timeframe (program support available).

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate effectively with team and explain repairs when needed.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology, tools, and repair processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Complete required training milestones and program competencies.
