Belle Tire is hiring an Auto Tech Trainee for its Auto Tech Development Program in Brighton, Michigan. This entry-level role pairs trainees with a certified mentor to build skills, work on real customer vehicles, and progress into a fully qualified Automotive Technician within 6 months.

The program offers hands-on training across key automotive systems, milestones for progression, and opportunities to earn ASE certifications while gaining shop experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Support general automotive service tasks including brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance.
• Learn and apply repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and assist in explaining repairs.
