Job summary

Belle Tire in the United States is offering an Auto Tech Development Program designed to train aspiring automotive technicians through a structured six-month track with one-on-one mentorship and hands-on training across essential systems.

Participants will diagnose and repair vehicles, learn safe operation of lifts and tools, and work toward ASE certifications, with clear milestones and potential progression to a Certified Automotive Technician role within Belle Tire.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain required tools within designated timeframe (program support available).

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn and apply repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate effectively with team and explain repairs when needed.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Complete required training milestones and program competencies.
