Job summary

A regional service company located in Springfield, Missouri is seeking Big O General Service Technicians to perform service and installation activities while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include oil changes, lubrication, and promoting sales of services and products. Candidates must be at least 17 years old with a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate various vehicles safely. Qualifications

• 17 years of age (with parental consent) or older.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to exchange accurate information with customers.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires.
• Consistently and courteously greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers.
• Assist in the proper training of new employees as needed.

Skills

Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles

Strong verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Sales abilities

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent
