Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC is seeking a General Service Technician in Bradenton, FL to perform basic automotive services such as tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while delivering excellent customer service.

Maintain clean, safe work areas and assist other technicians. A valid driver's license and willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends, are required. High School Diploma or GED and pre-employment background check are expected.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Passion for a career as a Technician in the automotive industry.
• Eager to learn and competitive drive to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other small bulbs.
• Repair flat tires and stock/unload tires.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and follow safety rules.
