Job summary

Commercial Tire Inc in Idaho Falls, ID, is seeking an Auto Service Technician – Level 1 to inspect vehicles, perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and alignments. You will communicate needed repairs to the front counter and ensure proper tire changes and maintenance per manufacturer specifications.

The role is full-time and non-exempt, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, ESOP and a robust 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
• 6 months related experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and communicate repairs needed before the car leaves the shop.
• Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the inspection report.
• Perform alignments, fluid exchanges, brake evaluations, oil changes and air filter replacements.
• Change, repair, balance, and replace tires with proper torquing.
• Monitor and replenish lubricant inventory.
• Assist with phones and front counter as needed.
