Job summary

Boyd's Tire & Service in Central Ohio is hiring a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes and tire-related services. You will work with ASE Certified Technicians and receive training to advance toward ASE certification.

Compensation ranges from $17-$22 per hour depending on experience; benefits include tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR and background check.
• Willing to work Monday through Saturday.
• Previous automotive experience preferred but not required; energetic and hard-working.
• Motivation to grow into ASE certification through training.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their location using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, tires, and supplies from vendors as needed.
• Operates company vehicle safely and obeys traffic laws.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and rotation.
• Performs oil changes and basic services under supervision.
• Notes vehicle conditions and reports to Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
