Job summary

Vernon Auto Group, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is hiring Service Technicians to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in a fast-paced shop. You will oversee apprentice technicians and work to factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $50 per hour based on experience and certifications, with relocation assistance available. Join a team that supports your growth and safety training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Good Judgment.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing: background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and assign to stall area.
• Perform repairs per repair order with accuracy and efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts when under warranty or requested by customer.
• Inspect vehicle for additional required safety or service work.
• Notify service advisor if further work is unnecessary or cannot be completed.
• Road-test vehicles or refer to test technician as needed.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Attend factory training classes and read factory bulletins.
• Keep customers’ cars clean and shop area organized.
