Job summary

Momentum Volkswagen’s service team, part of Sonic Automotive, seeks an Automotive Service Technician to repair and maintain vehicles to factory standards. You will inspect, diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical and HVAC, and perform test drives to verify quality.

Compensation is flat-rate hourly ($25.00–$45.00), with tenure bonuses. Relocation assistance up to $5,000 and benefits such as 401(k) matching and employee pricing are offered within a Fortune 500

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician (any brand).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment testing (background, MVR, drug test).

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical and HVAC work.
• Take vehicles on test drives to verify repairs and performance.
• Replace or repair components such as spark plugs, filters, brakes, rotors, belts, and hoses.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignment adjustments.
• Examine vehicles for safety concerns and address additional services as needed.
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain required parts.
