Job summary

Pep Boys in Panama City Beach, FL is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services and deliver excellent customer service. Duties include tire mounting, oil changes, battery checks, and more, in a fast-paced shop.

You will maintain a clean, safe work area and assist other technicians while staying current with automotive technology through ongoing training. Flexibility for days, nights, holidays, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.
• Willingness to learn new technical information in training sessions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Background check requires satisfactory results.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance and battery checks.
• Install headlights and other bulbs; repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires; assist other technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and adhere to safety rules.
