Job summary

The Colorado Springs Gazette, LLC is seeking a Level/Shop Foreman to lead the service department in Colorado Springs. You will oversee repairs, recruit and motivate technicians, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturer standards to deliver high-quality service.

This full-time position requires four to ten years of related experience, ASE certifications across multiple areas, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to balance

Qualifications

• Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and percentages for bonuses, discounts, and productivity.
• Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions using written and diagram instructions.
• ASE Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, hires and motivates qualified service technicians.
• Assists technicians in developing their skills.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations affecting service operations.
• Ensures that repairs are performed and billed correctly.
• Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks.
• Road tests vehicles to verify quality of work.
• Establishes and maintains a customer follow-up program.
• Monitors technician productivity and payroll records.
• Attends managers meetings and promotes teamwork.

Education

Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
