Job summary

Fleet Farm is seeking an Auto Service Manager in Fergus Falls, MN to lead the auto service sales and technician team, ensuring superior service and Best in Class execution. You will mentor staff, manage schedules, and drive profitability while promoting customer loyalty programs.

The role requires strong leadership, customer-focused mindset, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Flexible scheduling and Retail/Automotive experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree in Automotive/Management or related field, or relevant experience preferred.
• 3 years of retail / automotive management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach, train, coach, and mentor your team to develop consistent and Best in Class execution and customer service.
• Ensure that all areas are staffed according to budget and maximized for customer needs.
• Hire, train, develop, and manage the performance of all Team Members in collaboration with HR & Training Manager.
• Assist customers with questions and handle customer issues.
• Establish knowledge of Fleet Farm’s tires, parts, and accessories.
• Promote and sell automotive products and services that meet customer needs.
• Develop service estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor, and calculating customer payment.
• Perform basic maintenance and tire specialist duties, such as oil changes, fluid checks, battery installs, tire mounting/balancing, and alignment checks.
• Create employee schedules for auto service sales and technician team members.
• Provide store leadership with sales and payroll budget reports.
• Manage auto center profitability by monitoring payroll and controllable expenses.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty program, credit card, and other initiatives.
