The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, several years in auto repair, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to drive department profitability within dealership guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in an auto repair facility.
• Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines.
• All applicants must follow safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
• Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the service department.
• Attend managers meetings as requested.
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor performance of service staff.
• Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
• Provide technical assistance to employees as needed.
• Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and concerns of mutual interest.
• Monitor technicians and payroll records.
