Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a General Service Technician in Kentucky to perform non-technical service repairs such as oil changes and tire services. You will work alongside ASE Certified Technicians and receive training to advance toward ASE certification.

This role serves as a strong starting point for a automotive career. Compensation ranges from $15 to $18 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and a company-matched

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.
• Candidates must have a high level of motivation and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be deemed an eligible driver through an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) screening.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles following all guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
