Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Assistant Service Manager for one of its Auto Service centers in Evansville, Indiana. You will gain hands-on experience overseeing the service department, scheduling colleagues, and coordinating service appointments to deliver quality work on time.

In this role you will drive tire and service sales, build guest relationships, mentor staff, and uphold safety and operational standards across the shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive service department experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No relocation is being offered for this position.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Drive and reach sales goals through guest interactions including tire and service sales.
• Build guest relationships and ensure guest satisfaction through liaison between technicians and guests.
• Effectively manage the service department as needed.
• Contribute to training and development of service department associates.
• Articulate all warranties, promotions, and advertisements.
• Utilize tools provided to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work and guest area.
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including lifting tires and wheels.
