Job summary

Radius Recycling in Merced, CA is seeking a General Laborer I for the auto salvage yard to help move and process vehicles safely, extract parts, and ensure environmental compliance while supporting customers pulling parts.

This role requires outdoor work in varying weather, a willingness to work weekends and holidays, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The position offers competitive pay, medical/dental/vision plans, a 401(k) with match, and PTO starting with your first check.

Qualifications

• Follow verbal and written safety instructions and hazard communications such as waste oil, gasoline, and flammable materials.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions for the duration of a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely and promote the safety culture; wear PPE when required.
• Move vehicles and prepare areas for the next vehicle set; assist customers.
• Dismantle engines and components; sort materials and harvest diverse core items.
• Assist customers in a courteous and professional manner; prepare boxes and pallets for shipment.
